In April, Detroit Mercy published a special publication titled Catalyst for Transformation, which honors Antoine M. Garibaldi's 11 years as president of the University.

Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ, Build A Boundless Future logo is at the top.As the institution's 25th president, first lay president and first African American leader of Detroit Mercy, his vision for transformative change helped establish new streams of philanthropic and federal funding, strengthen connections with alumni around the world, create important partnerships with community organizations and corporations, and attract a diverse array of students from southeast Michigan and the U.S.

In addition, he helped increase the endowment from $25 million in 2011 to nearly $100 million in 2022. Much of this growth is due to the generosity of alumni and friends of Detroit Mercy.

During his presidency, Garibaldi also championed the creation of new academic programs and efforts to connect students with the community. These are just a few of his important contributions.

On June 30 of this year, he will conclude his presidency, return to the faculty in 2023 following a sabbatical and engage in research and teaching as a tenured professor.
