Biography
Since joining the University in January 2023, Anna Dietrich has been proud to represent both the College of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences and the School of Architecture & Community Development in fundraising, alumni engagement and community outreach. She is passionate about our students and their success, which informs and inspires her work.
Dietrich’s career in philanthropy began nearly a decade ago in the student-led Telephone Outreach Program at her alma mater. As a student, she got to fundraise for the programs and services that directly benefitted her and her peers. The pride and satisfaction that came with being so closely tied to the impact of her efforts is what made Dietrich fall in love with fundraising.
These days, she is thrilled to serve as a champion for students at one of the top ranked universities in the country. Dietrich has enjoyed immersing herself into the culture of Detroit and Detroit Mercy. When she’s not in the office, you can find her at a poetry reading, enjoying a bite on the local food scene or rooting for the Lions (or Pistons, Red Wings or Tigers, depending on the season).
