Biography
Danielle Maxwell (she/ella) graduated from the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà with a B.S. in Chemistry in 2019 and returned as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry in 2024. Following her B.S., she earned a M.S. in Chemistry, a M.S. in Educational Studies, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Michigan. Dr. Maxwell is an equity-centered chemistry education researcher whose research focuses on the science identity development of racially minoritized undergraduate students and transforming undergraduate chemistry curricula to be more justice-oriented and culturally relevant. As an educator, Dr. Maxwell is committed to advancing equitable chemistry education and centering the mission and values of the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà in her teaching.
