Certificate in Business Administration

Available for High School Dual Enrollment Students

The certificate in Business Administration provides high school students with a unique opportunity to supplement and enhance their education by earning a business credential from a top-ranked, AACSB accredited business school while still attending high school. The courses in the certificate program will expose students to a variety of issues impacting the modern business environment. Certificate program students must meet all admissions requirements and eligibility for continuing enrollment requirements as set forth by the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà High School Dual Enrollment Program. All courses toward the certificate must be taken at this University.

Required Courses (15 credits)

  • ACC 2010 Principles of Accounting I (3 credits)
  • BUS 1500 Introduction to Business (3 credits)
  • BUS 2310 Business Law I (3 credits)
  • BUS 2900 Wealth Management and Financial Planning (3 credits)
  • BUS 3110 Organizational Design and Structure (3 credits)

Recommended Sequence of Courses

High school dual enrollment students interested in pursuing the Certificate in Business Administration should contact the business Welcome Center Office, CF 112, to speak with an academic advisor. The course sequence and timing below is a suggestion and will be adapted as appropriate to meet the individual student needs.

Year One (6 credit hours)

  • Fall Semester - ACC 2010 Principles of Accounting I (3 credits)
  • Winter Semester - BUS 1500 Introduction to Business (3 credits)

Year Two (9 credit hours)

  • Fall Semester - BUS 3110 Organizational Design and Structure (3 credits)
