Information for Newly Admitted International Students
Congratulations on your acceptance to Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ. The staff in the International Services Office is looking forward to meeting you and working with you throughout your stay. Students coming from abroad:
- Travel to U.S. Closest airport is Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW)
- Detroit Mercy I-20, passport and visa should be on your person while going through Customs.
- We recommend to travel with less than 10,000 USD on your person.
- Make housing arrangements. if you would like to live on-campus.
Transfer-in students:
- Be admitted to Detroit Mercy
- Request for current institution to transfer your SEVIS record to Detroit Mercy
- Make housing arrangements. if you would like to live on-campus.
For ALL new students:
- Check-In with ISO (Engineering and Science, Room 269)
- Bring passport, visa and Detroit Mercy I-20
- Set-up financial arrangements with Student Accounting
- Take English Placement exam (and other placement exams for undergraduate students)
- Attend New International Student Orientation (mandatory)
