Sense of Community

  • Establish opportunities that promote a Sense of Campus Community, Institutional Pride, Great Place to Work
  • Pilot strategies to enhance community building through championship athletics and intercollegiate athletics

Mission

  • Address Racial Inequalities and Social Injustice Issues
  • Pilot opportunities that connect Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ's Catholic, Jesuit, and Mercy Traditions to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Improve Educational Attainment in Metro Detroit

Marketing

Pilot various integrating marketing strategies that emphasize:

  • high quality programs
  • caring faculty, and
  • a values-based education

Fundraising

  • Engender support for unrestricted gifts
  • Engender support for Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà institutional priorities
  • Apply for external grants to fund research
  • Pilot community-based research projects that can lead to external grant funding

Enrollment

  • Pilot strategies that focus on first-generation college students
  • Pilot strategies that promote mental health and wellness
  • Pilot strategies to diversify enrollment markets

Endowments

  • Explore opportunities for Endowments for new Centers or Institutes
  • Explore opportunities for Endowed Chairs/Professorships
  • Explore opportunities for Endowments for Student & Faculty Summer Research and Jesuit/Mercy Immersion Experiences

Community Impact

  • Strengthen community partnerships (K-12, Alliance groups, Community Colleges, Other HEI, Industry Regional Businesses, International Pathway Programs)
  • Strengthen impact and reputation of Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà in Metro Detroit
  • Establish a Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà Volunteer Corps of alumni, employees, and students, who collectively volunteer throughout Metro Detroit

Centers & Institutes

  • Enhance existing Centers or Institutes
  • Establish new Centers or Institutes (e.g. Applied Engineering, Life-Long Learning, Urban Innovation)

Academic Programs

  • Elevate existing academic programs with High Impact Learning Experiences (e.g. Internships, Community-Based Learning, Capstone Projects, Collaborative Projects, Diversity/Global Learning, Undergraduate Research)
  • Explore opportunities for new academic programs (e.g. Allied Health, Adult Learner, Workforce Development, Entry-Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Case Management, Public Health, Speech Pathology/Audiology/Communicative Disorders)
  • Develop Micro-credentials (badges & certificates) that are stackable & lead to degree completion and/or further study
