Biography
Born and raised in southeast Michigan, Grace Jacek is an alumna of Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà with a deep appreciation for its mission. She is humbled and privileged to be educated in the Jesuit and Mercy traditions.
In 2016, Jacek began her career as a professor in Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ's College of Health Professions. Her clinical experience as a registered nurse includes intensive care, emergency care, cardiac cath lab and cardiology research. As a nurse practitioner, Jacek's clinical practice experience includes primary care in the home care setting, hospitalist role for internal medicine and inpatient/outpatient oncology specialty.
Jacek served on the board of Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners for six years until she was appointed by Gov. Whitmer to the Michigan Board of Nursing (BON) as the nurse practitioner representative. She is currently serving a four-year term on the Michigan BON. She has acute care, primary care, legislative, regulatory and civil tort experience.
